All year long, Barton Hills Country Club provides its’ members with plenty of opportunities to celebrate any season, for any reason, creating life long memories, with both family and friends.
Barton Hills Country Club members enjoy a clubhouse with restaurant and bar facilities in a beautiful setting overlooking our premiere golf course. Additional amenities include locker rooms, fitness center, pro shop, a swimming pool complex, and tennis courts. Members with golf privileges also enjoy the championship 18 hole golf course and practice facilities.
Barton Hills Country Club offers both golfing and social memberships. Golf members and their families at Barton Hills Country Club enjoy a full complement of golf, social and dining privileges. The signature Donald Ross course, an experienced PGA certified staff of professionals, and superior practice facilities.
Our social members enjoy all of the club social, dining, and club amenities except golf privileges. Dining options range from our formal "Catalpa Room" to a casual Grill. The Lounge, The Champions Grill, The Terrace, The Barracuda Grill and The Pool Bar combine to provide members with both indoor and outdoor casual dining options. Regardless of the location, the culinary team creates menus filled with diverse selections that will please your palate! The club calendar is filled year round with a variety of social activities that include formal events, casual get togethers, adult only events, and family centered activities. Barton Hills Country Club membership provides something for everyone.
We truly appreciate your interest in membership at Barton Hills Country Club, the following information will provide you with the requirements of membership. The membership invitation process requires a minimum of 10 days.
Our staff is available by appointment to meet prospective members and provide a tour of the facilities. Please contact our Membership Director to schedule an appointment.
Barton Hills Country Club is a private, member-owned Club. Membership is by invitation of the Board of Directors. Applicants invited to join are admitted to membership upon acceptance of the invitation in accordance with the Club bylaws. Those seeking membership may request information from any member of Barton Hills Country Club or the Membership Director.

Qualifications for Membership
Applicants for membership must be at least 21 years of age, and be sponsored in writing by two active members in good standing, as further specified in the bylaws. The Club does not accept corporate memberships.
Barton Hills Country Club does not discriminate in the selection of members.
Membership Sponsors/Letter of Recommendation
In addition to completing and submitting a membership invitation, each prospective member is required to be sponsored by two active members of the same membership category or higher. The sponsoring members will be required to sign the membership invitation and to submit a letter of recommendation on behalf of the membership candidate. Letters may be submitted with the invitation or separately, but they must be received prior to the Board of Directors review.
Upon receipt of the completed signed and sponsored membership invitation, the club bylaws require that the name of the prospective members are posted for a 10 day period as a candidate for membership. The information is posted on the private web site and at the desk in the Clubhouse entry. Additionally, if timing is appropriate, the names of prospective candidates may be posted in the Bartonian or on member statements.
A brief (15 - 20 minute) meeting is scheduled after the membership invitation is received and prior to the Board of Director's review. The purpose of this meeting is to insure that questions of the prospective member have been addressed. Additionally, we are able to learn more about the prospective member and what they hope to gain from membership. This will assist in the successful integration into membership if approved. The member candidate and/or spouse are required to attend this meeting. Club participants include the Club Manager, the Membership Director, and the Chairperson of the Membership Committee.
Board of Directors Review
At the scheduled monthly Board meeting, all prospective membership candidates are presented to the Board of Directors for review and vote. Upon approval of the Board, the applicants invited to join are admitted to membership upon their acceptance of the invitation in accordance with the club bylaws.
