Membership Types

Membership Categories

Barton Hills Country Club offers a number of different memberships including both golf and social.  Some of the membership categories have a maximum cap.  Therefore, election to membership in a specific category is subject to availability of such a membership.  Following is a summary of the membership categories currently offered by Barton Hills Country Club:

 

Resident

The Resident membership includes full social, dining, golf, swim, tennis, recreational facilities, and use of all Club facilities. Resident membership requires purchase of an equity share and provides for voting privileges.  

 

Non-Resident

The Non-Resident membership includes full social, dining, golf, swim, tennis, recreational facilities and use of all Club facilities.  Non -Resident members must meet the following parameters set forth for residency in the Bylaws:  

No individual (whether or not a then existing member) may become or thereafter continue as a Non-Resident Member if at anytime such individual or individual's family members (i) reside or work within a 150 mile radius of the Club; or (ii) spend sixty or more cumulative days in any twelve month period within a 150 mile radius of the Club.

NEW! National Non- Resident Membership 

National Non-Resident members will enjoy full recreational and social privileges, use of all club facilities with golf privileges limited to an annual maximum of 20 rounds per membership.  The member’s fore-caddy is included. There is a requirement that National Non-Resident Members take either a cart or caddy.  The right to bring up to 3 guests per visit. Normal greens fees will be charged and the cart or caddy provision will apply.

National Non -Resident members must meet the following parameters set forth for residency in the Bylaws:

Junior

The Junior membership includes full social, dining, golf, swim, tennis, recreational facilities and use of all Club facilities.  Membership candidates must be between the ages of 29 and 40.  Juniors are required to convert to another membership category by the end of the fiscal year of the member's 40th birthday.

 

Intermediate Junior

The Intermediate Junior membership includes full social, dining, golf, swim, tennis, recreational facilities and use of all Club facilities. Membership candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 29.  Intermediate Juniors are required to convert to another membership category by the end of the fiscal year of the member's 29th birthday.

Legacy Junior

The Legacy Junior membership includes full social, dining, golf, swim, tennis, recreational facilities and use of all Club facilities. Membership candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 40, and be a son or daughter of a current Resident member.  Legacy Juniors are required to convert to another membership category by the end of the fiscal year of the member's 40th birthday.

Social

The Social membership includes full social, dining, swim, tennis, and recreational facilities.  Social memberships do not include golf course, or practice facility access.
